Souryadeep

Souryadeep

I'm Souryadeep. I write songs, sing them, compose them, release them, check the numbers, pretend not to care about the numbers, and then write another song.

I'm a singer-songwriter from Mumbai. I grew up in a family where music was always happening somewhere. There were ragas, tabla, classical music, and enough discussions about music for me to eventually realize that resisting was pointless.

I started singing young, learned tabla along the way, and in 2021 decided to take music seriously instead of treating it like a side-quest.

Since then, I've been releasing original Hindi songs on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, JioSaavn, and various other corners of the internet. Songs like Saathi Tu, Jaan, Sirf Tumhi, and Aye Ri Lagan are some of the results of that decision.

My music lives somewhere between the traditional influences I grew up with and the modern sounds I enjoy creating. Sometimes it's romantic. Sometimes it's reflective. Mostly it's whatever was occupying my mind long enough to become a song.

I'm not here to claim I'm reinventing music, saving the industry, or changing the course of human history through chord progressions. I'm just making songs I genuinely enjoy making and hoping a few other people enjoy them too.

This page is basically where I leave evidence that I've been spending an unreasonable amount of time thinking about melodies.

If you enjoy Hindi indie music, independent artists, acoustic sounds, or finding musicians before they're cool enough for everyone else to suddenly discover them, you might find something here.

Also, yes, these are real songs made by a real human being. In 2026, that apparently deserves a mention.

Feel free to stick around. There's a good chance I'm currently working on another song instead of doing something more sensible.
